Frequently Asked Questions!
What theraputic approach do you use?
I'm a humanistic, intergrative counsellor and Psychotherapist. Whilst the core model I trained in was person centered therapy, which forms the basis of my approach, I am intergrative in philosophy and practice. I utilise a variety of techniques and therapy models which help me tailor counselling to each individual I work with. This might include elements of transactional analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy, existential counselling and relational psychotherapy. The way I work is guided and led by the client themselves, their wishes, issues and learning style.
Who do you work with?
I have a wide range of experience supporting adults of all ages from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Regardless of your age, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexuality I provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to explore the issues impacting on your life and wellbeing. I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor, whether you are straight and cis gendered or identify as part of the LGBTTQQIAAP community you are welcome and will be afforded a safe and inclusive space to share your difficulties. What are your professional registrations?

How many sessions will I need?
Everyone who comes to therapy is different so there isn't a set number of sessions. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. For some a few sessions is enough to help them identify and deal with their issue, for others long-term work might be more suitable. We will discuss this together to make sure we make the decision that's best for you.
What age do you work with?
I am experienced working with adults, children and young people. I have worked in secondary school and higher education settings and work with anyone aged 11years +. I hold an advanced DBS certificate.
